Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the ISO 14001 standard includes the main criteria for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). It designates responsible corporate handling of natural resources, such as efficient consumption of energy and raw materials, waste minimization and environmental risk prevention.

The internationally accepted Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 certification designates organizational commitment to controlling and reducing accidents in the workplace. It includes management specifications for improving the health and safety of employees, reducing absenteeism and accidents, and gaining insights into the competencies of personnel.
