Following on from the Jet Aviation Design Studio’s success last year with Cirrus, the team are once again competing on the world stage with the Hesperis concept cabin.
“Hesperis is a VVIP interior conceived as a sanctuary of well-being, where material innovation and thoughtful design come together to enhance comfort, balance, and sensory harmony,” says Christoph Fondalinski, Vice President Completions.
The design approach is rooted in reduction, with carefully curated simplicity creating room for clarity. Furniture is minimized to create lighter, more open spaces, while optimizing every element for both function and ease of use.
Lightweight bulkheads combine 3D-printed panels with 3D-knitted mesh, and flax composite seat shells further reduce weight and volume while introducing natural, tactile qualities that support a more soothing environment.
“Whenever possible, finishes become structure, simplifying the space and reducing visual and physical complexity. In this vision, advanced 3D manufacturing enables a more fluid, seamless interior that feels intuitive and calming,” explains Jean-Francois Maugan, Senior Interior Design Specialist.
“We prioritized materials such as flax over traditional veneers, using their slimline structural qualities to offer possibilities to reduce weight compared to traditional monuments, while also introducing a more natural, tactile experience.”
“We continue to advance the frontier of VVIP interior design for business aviation, blending technological innovation and trailblazing aesthetic approaches.”
“We continue to advance the frontier of VVIP interior design for business aviation, blending technological innovation and trailblazing aesthetic approaches. For example, Hesperis reduces environmental impact through weight savings and thoughtful resource usage, while enhancing the cabin experience. Technology, material, and space work in quiet alignment, as less intervention creates a deeper, more meaningful harmony,” says Grischa Schmidt, Senior Director Interior Design Studio.
