Power in Partnerships

FBO, Global, Sustainability

As a pioneer of business aviation, Jet Aviation was one of the first maintenance providers (if not the first!) to ever partner with an OEM, sending Elie Zelouf to Bordeaux, France, for training on the Falcon 20 in July 1968. More than half a century later, we continue to build relationships and partnerships to maintain our leading edge.

In addition to our ongoing collaboration with other GD business units, we regularly work with OEMs, industry authorities, and associations to ensure timely solutions that meet our customers' needs. You read earlier this month about our cooperation with Gulfstream to improve our sound levels in their cabins. Similarly, you will recall our recent acceptance into the MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), through which we liaise with the world's most prestigious academic and research institutions to draw on collective knowledge and develop leading technologies.

Harnessing the strengths of various groups with different talents and skillsets is one of the most effective strategies for bringing scale to innovative problem solving. And when it comes to developing sustainable solutions, Jet Aviation is collaborating with several partners to offer and test viable options that promote sustainable aviation while fostering viable choices for our customers.

By challenging industry norms, being open to working with others, and remaining flexible, we have pushed boundaries that have ultimately benefited the company, our customers, and the industry. We were the first supplier to offer sustainable fuel (SAF) via a blended fuel option at Van Nuys Airport, and we continue to explore permanent solutions for SAF at our FBOs in Switzerland, Europe, and the USA.

Partnerships are an incredibly powerful and cost-effective way to develop innovative approaches to challenges of all kinds, whether it's reducing our carbon emissions, designing quieter cabins, or reaching new markets. At Jet Aviation, we believe there is always room for improvement — and we see the way forward through shared goals, collaboration, and partnership.

Stay tuned for more!
