Teamwork Makes the Difference in Geneva

G200, Geneva, Maintenance, MRO, Teamwork

After ten months of extensive work, the Geneva MRO team has successfully redelivered a G200 after a complete and challenging restoration.

The aircraft had sustained severe damage during an in-flight hailstorm, and the three primary sections of the cockpit skin had to be replaced. The repairs required a complete disassembly and reassembly of the entire cockpit, gear system and avionics compartment. In an exemplary display of teamwork, experts across all departments and teams were involved in various stages of the project, including Mechanical, Avionics, Sheet Metal, Painting, Project Management, Planning, Quality, SCM, Logistics. and Facility.

“The sheet metal team skillfully mastered the installation of the skin without any difficulty, achieving a perfect fit,” says Sebastien Petitti, the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor in charge of the project. “And let's not forget about the final touch: The painting team did an exceptional job in making the aircraft look even more beautiful,” he adds.

The configuration of the aircraft on jacks with shoring equipment had to be studied, designed, and validated specifically for this aircraft by an external manufacturing company. The team managed to organize and execute each step of this complex restoration perfectly and was able to provide for a seamless experience that exceeded the customer’s high expectations.

“Ultimately, the true measure of our success is the satisfaction of our customers. If they are happy, we are happy, and we know that we have done our job well,” Sebastien describes the feelings in the team after the aircraft was delivered.

Edgar Guerreiro, Senior Director MRO & FBO and General Manager Geneva, sums up the accomplishment: “This project was a monumental undertaking. The complexity of the repair was a challenge accepted and overcome by the team, and the extraordinary collaboration of everyone involved made this success possible. I couldn’t be any prouder of their work. We will greatly benefit from this experience in future projects.”
