Jet Aviation Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Hong Kong
Jet Aviation today recognized the 20th anniversary of its operation in Hong Kong. The aircraft management and charter business in Hong Kong was established in late September 2001. In May 2008, the company expanded its operation to include a line maintenance facility.
Jet Aviation established its regional aircraft management and charter business in Hong Kong with an AOC, a single aircraft and a handful of employees. Today, the company’s 40-member strong regional aircraft management and charter team manages a fleet of 35 aircraft, together with nearly 80 flight crews in 10 countries across Asia Pacific (APAC).
“Jet Aviation is fully committed to APAC and will continue partnering with OEMs and aviation authorities to best serve the evolving needs of our customers,” said Joe Reckling, senior vice president of regional operations APAC. “This anniversary is a measure of our commitment to the region, where we look forward to continued growth for the next 20 years and beyond.”

The company’s senior director of aircraft management for APAC, Carlos Gomez, added, “We are so proud and grateful to celebrate twenty years of hard work, successful relationship-building and trusted partnership with our dedicated employees and loyal customers in Hong Kong.
“In September 2001, against all odds, we applied for and received an AOC to support the needs of a local business jet owner in Hong Kong. Twenty years later, it gives us great pleasure to continue enhancing our service offerings to make aircraft ownership simple for our business jet customers. From technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and maintenance support, to flight planning and staffing, we offer a comprehensive range of customized programs —with safety at the heart of everything we do.”

The Hong Kong operation has also expanded its line maintenance capabilities over the years. The facility holds Hong Kong civil aviation department (CAD) approval maintenance repair station approval, an FAA repair station certificate #6JAY388B, and mainland China JMM approval for PRC-registered aircraft, in addition to 12 other country approvals through its sister facility in Singapore.
