Another EBACE Success

Conferences, EBACE2023, EMEA, Europe, Global

The end of May saw another successful EBACE as our teams took the opportunity of Europe’s largest business aviation industry event to meet with key customers and partners from across the region.

Held every year in Geneva, Switzerland, The European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) brings together over 10,000 influential members of the business aviation community. It’s a place when partnerships are forged and strengthened, exciting developments are announced, and the future of the industry is debated.

Of course, Jet Aviation was there in full force, with a spectacular booth that embodied our brand promise of seamless service and minimalist elegance. The booth was designed to promote the brand, and also provide a space for our teams to meet with customers and partners and share news with other influential industry names. It was host to a number of signings and agreements throughout the exhibition, including three FBO handling agreements, with Flying Group, ASL and Flexjet respectively, and our cooperation agreement with drone provider Donecle for the purchase of automated drone technology, which uses AI and advanced image analysis algorithms to enable fast and accurate aircraft inspections.

EBACE 2023 also saw Jet Aviation on the receiving end of a number of accolades, receiving an award as a European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) Ambassador, and the UAS Sustainability Award Support. Joao Martins, Vice President FBO Operations Europe, also spoke on a UAS panel exploring aviation innovations in sustainability and the many efforts from the industry to achieve carbon-zero flight.

We were also invited to join The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). David Best, Senior Vice President Regional Operations and GM Americas, accepted on the company’s behalf, stating: “We are delighted to partner with IBAC to continue to work together to strengthen the industry in service of our customers and our employees. We are committed to enabling global flight, with passion, and we look forward to the opportunity to contribute the knowledge we have gained over 55 years as a global business aviation service provider to further the important work that IBAC does to keep business aviation flying around the world.”

With the Geneva FBO conveniently close to the exhibition space the FBO team were on hand to support however they could, on top of the incredibly busy few days. Jet Aviation announced shortly before the show that we would have Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) available for the duration of EBACE, as we continue to work with partners across our network to increase the availability of SAF for all of our customers, either onsite or via Book & Claim.

“We were delighted to renew our partnership with TotalEnergies to bring SAF to EBACE again this year,” said Joao Martins. “SAF is an important part of our efforts towards a more sustainable future, for the industry, and for Jet Aviation. We were the first company to bring SAF to Switzerland, in a temporary supply for the World Economic Forum 2020, and since then we have continued to work in partnership with various stakeholders to increase availability in the region, and worldwide. I would like to thank the Fuel teams from our Geneva and from our Zurich FBOs for their combined efforts in making this possible for our customers, as well as our partners at Geneva Airport, and at TotalEnergies.”

Of course, with relationships at the heart of EBACE, one of the musn't-miss events of the exhibition was the Jet Aviation cocktail party, an opportunity for the team and customers to have conversations in a more relaxed and intimate setting. The evening was an elegant reception in Geneva city center, with the added attraction of a sneak peek inside our recently redelivered ACJ319neo VVIP completion. Guests were treated to an exclusive photography exhibition of behind the scenes and interior photography, with an interactive exhibit which told the story of the passion and craftsmanship that goes into a Jet Aviation completion.?

“EBACE 2023 was one of the best yet,” said Jeremie Caillet, Senior Vice President Regional Operations EMEA. “I want to thank everyone, those who were out and about at the exhibition, and those behind the scenes, at the Geneva FBO and beyond, who contributed to this success. The Jet Aviation brand was truly brought to life in our presence, our events, and our people, ensuring a seamless, effortless experience for everyone. I had fantastic feedback from customers who appreciated all of the team’s hard work, and the many opportunities we provided for having those truly important conversations that strengthen our relationships and provide real results across the business. Thank you.”
