Jet Aviation St. Louis certified by Mexico as Approved Maintenance Organization

April 5, 2016

ST. LOUIS / April 5, 2016 – Jet Aviation St. Louis has earned certification from the Mexican civil air authority as a repair station Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) for aircraft registered in Mexico.

"This means we can immediately begin servicing Mexican aircraft,” said Steve Folks, lead AS9110 auditor at Jet Aviation St. Louis. “This is important because it now provides our Mexican customers with unrestricted access to our services. Mexico has the second-highest number of corporate jets and civil aircraft registered in the world, only behind the United States, and they now have a convenient, one-stop-shop location for all of their aviation needs. We have serviced some Mexican aircraft with special permission on a one-off basis in the past. But now we can provide service to any Mexican customer any time.”

The Mexican Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) approved the AMO certification after its representative conducted an audit at St. Louis the week of March 14. Folks said the audit went very well, adding that the representative was “uber-impressed” with the facility.
