Jet Aviation sets new passenger and aircraft handling records at FBO in Singapore

April 11, 2017

Jet Aviation’s FBO facility in Singapore had its best year to date in 2016 with 3,834 movements.  The company is currently handling the legendary Breitling DC-3 while the 77-year-old aircraft is on its grand world tour with a stop at Seletar Aerospace Park from April 3-22, 2017.

Earlier this year, Breitling launched its Douglas DC-3 on a world tour that’s to be completed in stages. The aircraft arrived at Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO facility in Seletar Aerospace Park on April 3rd, where it will remain before re-commencing its tour on April 21st. Breitling is using the stopover to organize private events and demonstration flights.

Jet Aviation is providing full handling support to the historic aircraft and its crew while at its facility in Singapore. This will include dedicated manpower, parking, towing and use of its facilities, as well as assistance with the Breitling events. In addition, the company’s MRO facility will check and maintain the DC-3 as necessary.
“Our goal is to deliver service excellence by listening to our customers, cultivating a motivated workforce and striving to continuously improve our service offerings,” said John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO facility in Singapore. “From chartered flights (Part 135) for business or pleasure to demo flights, medical evacuations and special events, our highly trained team of handling professionals is expert at seamlessly surmounting challenges that can and do arise in this business. This, combined with their friendly and efficient manner, is a great comfort to our customers.”

The Jet Aviation FBO in Singapore received registration to the IS-BAH™ Standard in December 2016, certifying that their handling systems, processes and practices meet rigorous safety and security standards. The company offers special handling rates to customers who bring their aircraft to the MRO facility for maintenance.

Operated by the Swiss-based Super Constellation Flyers Association, the Breitling DC-3 World Tour will end in September at the 2017 Breitling Sion Airshow in Switzerland.
