Jet Aviation’s annual La Bella Macchina celebrates the company’s 50th anniversary year and kicks off 26th Cavallino Classic

February 8, 2017

Jet Aviation kicked off its 50th anniversary year with its highly anticipated annual La Bella Macchina event.

A celebration of beautiful machines and state of the art engineering, the evening took place in Jet Aviation’s world-class fixed-base operation (FBO) at Palm Beach International Airport on January 26, 2017. The event also kicked-off the 26th annual Cavallino Classic, one of the world’s foremost and respected Ferrari exhibitions. Nearly 800 people were in attendance, alongside 8 jets, two helicopters, one yacht, a submersible and approximately 50 classic Ferraris.

Some of the most recognizable names in aviation from around the globe showcased an array of business-aircraft models on the tarmac, including a Gulfstream G550, Dassault Falcon 8X, Embraer Legacy 500 and Phenom 300, Pilatus PC-12 NG, Piaggio P180, Airbus Helicopters H125 and a Bell 429. An additional Falcon 8x was displayed by Avpro Jet and Avjet Global showcased a Gulfstream IVSP. Held in conjunction with The Cavallino Classic, the event also featured the presentation of the Jet Aviation Cup, which went to a spectacular 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS.

The event benefitted the Center for Creative Education (CCE) of Palm Beach County, with a silent and live auction raising a combined total of nearly $20,000. For the event, children from CCE’s Discover Series program created mobiles of aircraft, inspired by a tour of Jet Aviation’s Palm Beach FBO in December.

“La Bella Macchina is an event we created to celebrate high-performance machinery while highlighting the positive impact that business aviation has upon the many communities it serves,” said David Paddock, SVP and General Manager of Jet Aviation’s U.S. Aircraft Services. “We are proud to support the Center for Creative Education and the children involved in their Discover Series as we continue to strengthen our community partnerships in Palm Beach County.  The works of art showcased by the students were exceptional and enjoyed by all guests in attendance.  Jet Aviation extends its appreciation to each of our generous sponsors who make the event possible.”

Event sponsors included: Gulfstream, Sant Ambroeus, Bell Helicopter, Embraer, World Fuel, Phillips 66, Pilatus, Epps Aviation, Dassault Falcon, Universal Weather, Anima, Utopia, 1884, Airbus, Rimowa, Roche Bobois, Business Jet Traveler, Piaggio, Triton, Hinckley, Opulence, The Fur Salon at Saks Fifth Avenue, Avpro, Avjet Global, Global Jet Capital, Daniel Marshall Cigars, Lux Wines, Allegrini, Poggio al Tesoro, Pieropan, Renato Ratti, The Dalmore, Nolet's, Chai Rum, Tito's, Copperpoint Brewing, and Fever Tree.
