Jet Aviation Hong Kong named FAA repair station

Hong Kong  —

Jet Aviation Hong Kong announced during Asian Aerospace that the company was named an FAA repair station (#6JAY388B). This allows the company to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, airframe and engine repairs, avionics modifications, inspections and defect rectifications on U.S. registered aircraft.

Established in 2001 as aircraft management and charter division for the Asia region, Jet Aviation Hong Kong expanded its operation in May 2008 to perform line maintenance for Hong Kong registered Bombardier, Cessna and Gulfstream aircraft and to provide AOG services. As an FAA, Hong Kong CAD and Cayman CAACI approved repair station, the facility now can also provide scheduled maintenance services in addition to line maintenance and AOG support. Jet Aviation Hong Kong recently performed a 12/24/36 month inspection on a Gulfstream GIV and a B check on a BBJ. The company employs a team of maintenance specialists from around the world under the leadership of Nigel Parker, director maintenance, who reports to Sebastian Groeger, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore.

In addition to the FAA (#6JAY388B), Hong Kong CAD 145 and Cayman CAACI 145 repair station approvals, Jet Aviation Hong Kong also services aircraft registered in 11 other countries through Jet Aviation's Singapore maintenance approvals which include EASA 145 #CH.145.0232, Aruba DCA, Australian CASA, Bermuda DCA, Cayman CAA, Indonesia DGAC, Macao MAR-145, Malaysia DCA, Philippines ATO, Singapore CAAS and Thailand DOA.

From its Hong Kong operation, Jet Aviation offers maintenance, aircraft management, flight support and aircraft charter services. The company currently has a staff of more than 40 professionals at its Hong Kong facility. In Asia, Jet Aviation operates facilities in Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and provides maintenance, refurbishment, aircraft management, flight support and aircraft charter services.
