Jet Aviation Brazil to establish line maintenance operation at Sorocaba

Hangar at Sorocaba

Sao Paulo, Brazil  —  During this year's LABACE convention in Sao Paulo, Jet Aviation announced that it will provide line maintenance services to Gulfstream operators at its Sorocaba, Brazil, facility. The company expects authorization by the Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil (ANAC) in the second quarter of 2010. Earlier this year, Jet Aviation reported that it had leased a 24,000 sq ft hangar at Sorocaba Airport to expand its aircraft management services in the region and to provide hangar space for its clients.

Once authorized, Jet Aviation Brazil will conduct line maintenance services on all Gulfstream aircraft at Sorocaba. The company also plans to service other aircraft models and will add further capabilities in the near future. Heavy maintenance and inspection capabilities may be part of future expansion opportunities.

The new Jet Aviation hangar at Sorocaba Airport can house up to five aircraft, including Gulfstream 550, Embraer Legacy, super mid-size corporate jets or smaller aircraft. In addition, the facility features a passenger and pilot lounge with Wi-Fi Internet service, refreshments and entertainment systems, and provides office and storage space for tenants. The location will also serve as a parts storage and distribution facility for aircraft operators.

"Adding line maintenance services for Gulfstream operators to our capabilities at Sorocaba will complement our hangar leasing, aircraft management and charter services in this important market," said Norbert Ehrich, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Jet Aviation's Sorocaba facility.
