Jet Aviation’s aircraft management division receives approval for new fatigue management regulations for Bermuda registered aircraft

Zurich, Switzerland  —  Jet Aviation's EMEA & Asia aircraft management division recently received an operator approval certificate for new regulations on duty time by the Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation (DCA). This includes the introduction of limitations in duty time for the first time for private operators. The company herewith implements even more stringent standards with regard to flight safety and fatigue management for Bermuda registered aircraft.

According to the Bermuda DCA, management by an approved operator with regards to operations, safety and fatigue management will become mandatory as of October 31, 2009. Bermuda is the first country to implement the respective order for all privately held aircraft.

With this approval, Jet Aviation offers its aircraft management clients with Bermuda registered aircraft an even higher safety standard and premium quality services. Prior to this new regulation, the company already had its own high standards in place. Jet Aviation currently provides aircraft management services to 20 Bermuda registered aircraft.

"We are happy to have received the approval for flight safety and fatigue management of Bermuda registered aircraft," says Herbert Näf, Director Flight Operations at Jet Aviation's EMEA & Asia aircraft management division, and adds, "We are continually informing our clients of the new regulation in order to best prepare them and their crews for the upcoming deadline."
