Sorocaba, Brazil View our services: Maintenance
Jet Aviation's new facility in Brazil located at Sorocaba Airport (SOD) was established in 2009. Some 87 kilometers (54 miles) from the city center of São Paulo, the new site offers private and business aviation operators many advantages over the congested airports in the São Paulo metropolitan area. It has limited air traffic and provides clear take off and approach conditions, with optimal weather throughout the year. In addition, the airport plans an instrument (GPS) approach and a 200 meter extension to the 1,480 meters (4,855 ft) runway in the near future. From a 2,229 sq m (24,000 sq ft) state-of-the art hangar, Jet Aviation Sorocaba offers aircraft hangarage and is able to readily accommodate midsize to large cabin business jets. The company also offers ground handling services, including aircraft cleaning. The hangar features a passenger and pilot lounge with Wi-Fi Internet service, refreshments and entertainment systems, and provides office and storage space for tenants which can be modified to meet specific client requirements. The company was recently certified by the national civil aviation authority in Brazil, Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) certificate no. CHE 1004-41. This allows the facility to provide line maintenance, engine and airframe inspections and repairs for Gulfstream G200 aircraft. Since 2006, the company also offers aircraft management and charter services from its São Paulo office.
