Boston / Bedford, MA
Our Boston/Bedford FBO sits on Hanscom Field, where the colonial towns of Lexington and Concord meet. The airport was given its name in 1943 to honor Laurence G. Hanscom, founder and commander of the Massachusetts Wing of the Civilian Air Reserve and longtime advocate for the establishment of an airport in Bedford. General operations and maintenance of the airport became the responsibility of the Massachusetts Port Authority in 1974, and today Hanscom Field is a premier full-service facility. It is the largest general aviation airport in New England. Hanscom Field is about 20 miles northwest of Boston, where it is bordered to the south by Minute Man National Historical Park, home of the Revolutionary War battle site at Lexington Green and the starting point for Paul Revere's famous ride. The airport offers an efficient, time-saving alternative to Logan Airport for those flying in business and private aircraft. Jet Aviation recognized the importance of New England as an evolving technology, medical, educational and financial center, not only for the U.S., but for the world. Jet Aviation therefore decided to establish its first U.S. operations here, and in 1984, purchased property on Hanscom Field and opened its first U.S. FBO. Jet Aviation Boston/Bedford welcomes you to a modern airfield with the capacity to support a variety of aircraft types. Hanscom Field is the preferred destination for virtually all of the business aircraft visiting downtown Boston and its environs, and Jet Aviation is pleased to serve many of them. |
